GLENDALE, AZ – Denver Cutthroats forward Garett Bembridge, Allen Americans forward Alex Lavoie and Denver forward A.J. Gale and Rapid City defenseman Tristin Llewellyn have all been named the “Oakley Three Stars” for the month of October/2013.

Players are awarded five points for being a game’s first star, three points for being named the second star and a single point for being named the third star of the game.

First Star – Garett Bembridge, F, Denver Cutthroats
Bembridge earned 10 points (two first star recognitions) and had points in all five games for the Cutthroats who are unbeaten on the season. The Melfort, Saskatchewan native finished the month strong with a hat trick in the Cutthroats 7-3 win over Brampton on Wednesday. Bembridge also finished the month with a +8 plus/minus rating and had two game winning goals.

Second Star – Alex Lavoie, F, Allen Americans
Lavoie also earned 10 points thanks to two first star nods but due to the fact that he played six games compared to Bembridge’s five games, he finishes as the month’s second star. Lavoie finished the month with eight points and also earned a pair of game winning goals.

Third Star – Tristin Llewellyn, D, Rapid City Rush/A.J. Gale, F, Denver Cutthroats
Llewellyn and Gale finished tied for the month’s third star each earning nine points. Llewellyn has two goals and six assists and is a +6, while Gale has three goals and six assists and is a +9. Both the Rush and Cutthroats are 5-0-0 on the young season.
