I'll admit I have a bias towards today's fighters, strictly because guys like Klitchko, I've seen every televised fights he's ever had. I watched when he was touted as the next big thing, only to lose to nobodies.
But what did he do? He got back in the gym, committed to boxing and has been dominant. I've seen his bad times, mediocre fights and big knockouts.
Guys from the past, all you see are highlights and good times, it's hard to compare. I have no idea if that makes sense or not, lol.
I just think today's Klitchko is about as perfect a boxer you can get, but the heavyweight division does suck these days, so the level of competition is a very valid point.
To BIG JACK, all I can say is I agree size isn't everything, but Klitchko is very fast, athletic and agile for a guy 6'7".
There used to be a street named after Nick Fotiu, but it was changed because nobody crosses Nick Fotiu and lives.
