And not that there needs to be any other reason, but DE challenged Rinaldo directly after the Flyers scored their 2nd goal to tie the game. Because of Lavy's softness, Rinaldo would have been benched for the rest of the game (most likely scratched next game as well) if he accepted that challenge at that time. By now I think Rinaldo knows that.
Or yeah, maybe he's "scared".
