Looking at that 83-84 Flyers team, Stanley almost gets lost in the shuffle.

Tim Kerr, Brad Marsh, Dave Brown, Glen Cochrane, Paul Holmgren, Randy Holt, and Daryl Stanley with Bobby Clarke and Rich and Ron Sutter stirring the pot.

That was one tough team right there! Stanley is certainly not the most celebrated of that group and as has been said, is pretty underrated and not talked about much, maybe because he had such a short career but from the video I've seen, he was a pretty capable guy, not one who was going to KO anyone in the heavyweight class but one who could "hold his own".

I'll never forget the Probert fight, Probert hit him so hard and his helmet flew off, I could have sworn his head was in it. Stanley had been doing pretty well in the fight up to that punch, Probie finally woke up after taking some shots and WHAMMO!
