Bullsh*t as I pointed out after the first 4 games! The shi*ty defense and crappy special teams is why the Rangers were 1-3 and I've been proven 100% right. Keep the goals against down and improve the PK and the team will be very competitive.
I also said that guys like: Nash, Hagelin, McDonagh, Girardi, and Stepan have got to get going and now they are and that Gaborik and Richards have to be consistent and we are still waiting for that!
Torts has won a Stanley Cup and has never said I want a team like Herb Brooks wanted and some of you guys make him out to be a coach who hates fighters and doesn't want hitting and a gritty team!
This team needs to keep the goals against down and kill penalties and they will be fine and if they ever get the PP going will be dominate!
Some of the bullsh*t that I read is ridiculous!
Will they be competitive if Henry gets hurt? They may get away with this pudding lineup against most teams but if they don't protect their best players it will come back to haunt them. Lucic slashes Henry, runs Nash, and assaults McDonagh and if the Bruins didn't get that first goal it would have been worse. Luckily they don't play Boston again but other teams will see what the Bruins got away with and follow suit.
No matter how many times you say it, don't think that you are teaching anybody that keeping goals against down is going to help you win games. Last year they were able to do that AND stick up for each other. Imagine that crazy concept. They don't even make it out of the first round without Prust. We fought anytime and anywhere and the team fed off of it. No reason we can't wish for a team that makes us proud like we had last year.
