Three games on Monday night produced a total of six fights, two scraps per.
Matt Pelech took advantage of a last-minute call up and dropped the gloves with
Jared Boll at the start of
Sharks-
Jackets. They were followed minutes later with a one-sided tilt involving
Derek Dorsett and
Adam Burish.
With their 15th & 16th fights of the season the Blue Jackets already have more fighting majors than the
Red Wings had all of last season.
Wade Redden fought for the
first time in the NHL since January 17, 2010 in a quick dust-up with
Jordan Nolan in response to a Nolan hit on
Vladimir Tarasenko in the middle of during Kings-Blues. Another hit caused
Vladimir Sobotka to go after
Trevor Lewis following a check from behind later in the game.
Patrick Bordeleau looked impressive again in his spirited second period tilt with
Paul Bissonette during
Yotes-
Avs.
Kyle Chipchura also exchanged blows with
Cody McLeod earlier on in Denver.
