Leafs-Habs Boils Over, Grabovski in the clear

The
Leafs notched a blowout win over the
Habs on Saturday night and tensions escalated in the third period as Toronto ran away with the game.
At the start of the period,
Brandon Prust dropped the gloves and met
Mark Fraser at center ice in an attempt to swing the momentum for Montreal. As was the theme for the night, Fraser mounted more offense in a bout that took place primarily in the spin cycle. Six minutes later,
Mike Kostka grappled with
Brendan Gallagher after Gallagher knocked
Dion Phaneuf into James Reimer. It was the first NHL regular season fight for both players.
Things intensified after another Toronto goal.
Colton Orr took a run at
Tomas Plekanec. Orr was greeted by
Rene Bourque and Bourque was promptly dropped to the ice with a right hand, earning Orr a trip to the locker room. Away from the scrum,
Josh Gorges did his best to hold his own against
Frazer McLaren.
However, the biggest story out of the game came out of a scrum in between fights, during which
Max Pacioretty is claiming that
Mikhail Grabovski bit him on the wrist. Grabovski met with the league today and
will not be disciplined due to a lack of evidence.
