PRINCETON, N.J. – The ECHL on Friday announced that San Francisco’s
Hans Benson has been suspended one game for his actions in ECHL Game #547, Las Vegas at San Francisco, on Feb. 6.
Benson received an instigating penalty with 27 seconds remaining in the third period of the game. He is suspended under Rule #46.21 which states any player deemed to be the instigator or aggressor of an altercation in the final five (5) minutes of regulation or at anytime in overtime, shall be automatically suspended from his team's next game.
Benson will miss San Francisco’s game at Ontario tonight (Feb. 8).
