Nothing annoys me more than anti-fighting people pretending they are worried about an enforcer's health. I guarantee if Orr was in the AHL getting KO'd every night you wouldn't hear one word about his health from the media, they would just be happy he wasn't in the NHL.

The real reason the media doesn't want Orr playing in the NHL is because it goes against what they have been writing about for years, that fighters were a dying breed and that anybody who employs them is an idiot. I have never seen the Toronto celebrate anything like they did last year when Orr got demoted. They loved that the most notoriously pro-fighting GM in the game was forced to waive his best fighter. To them it was the official end of enforcers in the NHL, so it must kill them that a year later not only is Orr back in the NHL but he is playing well and fighting often.

Obviously Orr is taking a fairly significant risk by continuing to play but he is also making a ton more money than he would likely make if he weren't playing hockey. If he feels the money is worth the risk than that's his choice, not some dipsh*t journalist's.
