Princeton, NJ – Bretton Cameron of the
Greenville Road Warriors is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Jan. 14-20.
Cameron scored five goals, had one assist and was a +6 as the Road Warriors went 2-0-1 last week.
The 23-year-old tallied three goals, including a power-play goal and a shorthanded goal, in a 5-1 win against Gwinnett on Thursday then added two points (1g-1a) in a 4-1 victory at South Carolina on Friday. He ended the week with a goal and +2 rating in a 4-3 shootout loss against Gwinnett on Saturday.
A native of Didsbury, Alberta, Cameron has 26 points (12g-14a) in 38 games with the Road Warriors this season. He is currently on a five-game point streak with nine points (7g-2a) over that stretch.
Cameron has 95 points (40g-55a) in 155 career ECHL games with Greenville and Stockton.
On behalf of Bretton Cameron, a case of pucks will be donated to a Greenville youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 27,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
