Even during the 80's and 90's there were exceptions...
All it really means is the Bruins don't have any really young European players this year who played in the SEL or SM-Liiga, give it a year or two.
The Islanders and
Minnesota Wild are arguably much more impressive this year in terms of quality of fighters over an aging and rarely fighting (and always wrestling) Chara, Thornton who's due for a decline fighting and play-wise, and the always overrated Lucic.
