I truly believe he just enjoys being a dick, lol. I think he likes playing toughest guy on the ice one minute, and yapping, diving agitator the next. He played the game like a school yard bully, who enjoyed goading people as much as fighting them.
It didn't diminish his fighting skills when he felt like fighting, which was top 3 all time.
