PRINCETON, N.J. – Nicholas Tremblay of the
Bakersfield Condors is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Jan. 7-13.
Tremblay scored four goals, added four assists and was a +4 in three games last week, helping the Condors to a 3-0-0 record for the week.
The 24-year-old, who signed with the Condors last week, scored a power-play goal in a 5-0 win against Idaho in his team debut on Friday, tallied four points (2g-2a) in a 6-2 victory over the Steelheads on Saturday and scored the game-winning goal, added two assists and was a +3 in a 4-2 win at San Francisco on Sunday.
A native of Candiac, Quebec, Tremblay made his pro debut last season, scoring two points (1g-1a) in four games with Providence of the American Hockey League.
Selected by the Boston Bruins in the sixth round (173rd overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Tremblay scored 88 points (33g-55a) in 143 career games at Clarkson University from 2008-09 through 2011-12.
