I know I won't. I remember when baseball went on strike I stayed away for a number of years. Now hockey has become a shell of what it once was. Hockey in the late 80's early 90's was the last great era, imo. Once they started introducing sunbelt teams, marketing to soccer moms and erasing the self-policing element they started to lose me. Then the 'labor issues'......Bettman, the influx of too many Euros, etc.....

Hockey sucks now. Very rarely is there a contest that captivates my interest enough to sit down and watch a game front to back. It's a shame because as a longtime Ranger fan last year's team rekindled my interest. I liked their style of play and I was hopeful for a good season this year.

But noooooooo. All this Donald Fehr, Gary Bettman, NHLPA nonsense crops up again. There is so much sideshow BS in hockey and so many tweaks to what was the perfect game that I cannot stand it. The sad thing is I will probably jump back on the bandwagon if the Rangers make hay the playoffs. Hockey fans are among the most blindly loyal and that blind loyalty will be put to the test this freakin season
