I'll get KO of the year done a little later today. We're having issues with YT and our work filter, again.
In other news, a deal has been reached for Adrien Broner's next opponent, it'll be Gavin Rees (37-1-1, 18 KOs) from the UK.
Rees has been a titlist before, but then lost his belt in his first defense via KO to light punching Andriy Kotelnyk. He's since rebuilt winning the Prize Fighter tourny, and some regional titles in the UK.
Sorry to say, but I don't give Gavin a whole lot of a chance. He's good as a regional fighter, but stepping up to the big level is something he won't be able to do. I'll take Broner via KO around round 5.
It could be competitive if Rees stays far beyond discipline and stays on the outside, but, I think we'll see Broner find a way to get to him.
**UPDATED NEWS**
Hank Lundy has dropped from the fight with Lucas Matthysse. He's having a managerial split take place, and his managers will not allow him to fight until its settled.
Stepping in, ESPN FNF regular Mike Dallas Jr (19-2-1, 8 KOs).
Dallas has been on a roll this year, after everyone thought 2011 was going to be a banner year... until Josesito Lopez derailed that with a thrilling KO.
It's great to see him get a shot. But, he's picked the wrong guy at the wrong time. I'll take the Argentine bomber in the middle rounds.
