PEI Rocket forward, Matthew Bursey received an automatic suspension of 3 games following an application of code 4.92 of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, during the game that opposed his team to the
Moncton Wildcats on December 19. « Our rules are very clear, all players using physical force, in any way, towards an official, will received a penalty for game misconduct which entails an automatic suspension of 3 games » declared the Director of player safety, Raymond Bolduc.
Mr. Bolduc will continue the disciplinary process: « I will gather testimonies of the players and organisations involved, review the report of the officials and consult the Advisory Committee for disciplinary sanctions before announcing my decision in the next few days. »
