Glenn Hall's record is ridiculous, 502 straight games as a goalie is tougher than any other record in any other sport. And that he did it as one of the best to ever play the game makes it even better.
With all due respect to Roy and Brodeur, they are pu$$ie$ compared to Hall. Hall didn't benefit from the outrageous gear that goalies have now, didn't benefit from 6'4 230 pound dmen who were allowed to hook, hold, and crosscheck people at will during the 80's and 90's, and didn't even wear a bloody mask! That takes massive cajones all by itself but do it for over 7 seasons in a row? Staggering.
I think it blows away Cal Ripken as well since Cal basically got to stand around for 3 hours scratching himself and had maybe a grand total of 5 minutes of game "action".
Glenn Hall rant off.
