You quite clearly don't know what a franchise is. It is a completely different system.
Let me ask you one thing. When have you ever heard anyone in Europe refer to their team as a franchise? Exactly. None because they aren't.
You go to Manchester and call United a franchise and see where it gets you and the reaction you get from it.....
You're flamed for not knowing what you're talking about and the fact you insist it is a franchise proves the point. Manchester United is a club not a franchise, has never been a franchise and never will be a franchise.
You go and ask anyone involved in football in Europe if their team is a club or a franchise, what is the overwhelming answer you are going to get?
You call a team a franchise and fans will just laugh at you, if they're in a good mood.....
Franchises are in North America and can move all over the place, whenever they want. Tell me how many top level European clubs have done that? or who would be allowed to do that?
Franchises have territorial rights, clubs do not. Franchises don't use a promotion and relegation system, they used a closed league structure.
Franchises are awarded, the aren't founded and top-league places earned.
An expansion franchise can go right to a top-level league. A team can't they would have to start at the bottom of the league structure.
There are massive differences between the two so no European soccer teams are not franchises.
Super 15 would be franchises but none of the soccer leagues in Europe have franchises.

The only team that springs to kind is MK Dons
