Well some sad news today. Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame broadcaster and writer Pat Connolly has died. The Sydney native had been battling cancer at the time of his death on Tuesday. He was 84.
I grew up listening to Connolly calling AHL games in Halifax and then later on calling the Mooseheads games. He was very well liked for his infectious personalty. Know for being a public address announcer for the
Halifax Mooseheads until his retirement three years ago. The press box at the Halifax Metro Centre now bears his name.
