This year she wants the iphone5 ( luckily have an upgrade available) and I need some new boots - preferably Timberland Earth Keepers. It's really all about the kids. On a related note I was able to easily snag a wii u deluxe set when they came out. My 7 year old decided that was a must have, after the pre orders stopped.
Ps. phila.... Your dad sounds like he'd be fun to have a beer with. I'm picturing A cross between John Wayne and the Fonz. Is his GF hot?

Parents definitely get the short end of the stick when kids are young. We had that Workshop deal in pre-K through 1st grade...I specifically remember buying (with my parents' money to boot) sh!tty ornaments and an ice scraper that said Dad on it. Funny thing is my dad actually kept that thing in his car for like ten years. Once we started working we tried to hook up the folks with nice things, especially since we know we're pretty much spoiled with whatever we want at Christmas. It's the one day of the year we are spoiled. So we pretty much float our list out there and spend all our money on each other.
My dad is cool especially now that we're in our 20s and my mom is out of his picture. It's basically a dorm at the house these days especially with friends constantly coming and going. His GF does look good for 50 but it's just nice to see pops happy.
