All these leagues charge way less than what you are paying. Your sending your son to an elite program that 95% won't send their kids too. As you can see with the indoor league you pay between $895 to $1250 and that is mostly due to rental time for the league. even doubled it is still $500 less than what you pay. Outdoor clinics and such cost much less also. Your comparing apples and oranges.
Your paying more by choice. The whole argument is if soccer is cheaper than hockey and by all accounts... yes...period. Hockey even part time is more expensive due to the fact from ages 4-6 soccer is basically a ball to kick around. Hockey equipment pays for the soccer season alone. Soccer for 4-8 years from $70-100 for the league and another $45 for cleats and shins throw in 2 balls, shorts we'll say $200 even though most can be less than that. Hockey equipment before I even get past the shin, elbow, Shoulder pads and helmet I at roughly $250 and that is going with all mid level stuff. No throw in skates, sticks, gloves, pants and various other stuff your well into $500 bucks, you can go cheap as can be and spend only $300...not including ice time and skating lessons....There is no comparison at any level
