You pay for ice time, and soccer is usually at a field which is usually much cheaper to rent. Is your son playing in some advanced league or something like that? I've never heard of it costing that much to play soccer around here unless he is in some sort of serious league. Just wondering.

Now add in 3 more training days - one is a futsal league, one is fitness training at a fitness facility & the other is team training at an indoor facility.
Soccer is no longer just a "fill in sport" for kids. It is now a year round sport here. It is very very competitive. What my sons team does, is not even close to what some other teams do. I am sorry that the other two here who dispute what I am saying, or think I am lying. I am not.

Ask me any other questions you'd like and certainly I will try and provide more links or anything else.
