I think you are right , he is lying . My nephew has a girl (13 years old) that plays soccer at the highest level in Ontario , she is touted by universities from the US and Canada with full scholarships already , she is also scouted by the Canadian national team , it costs him about 1500 dollars for both summer and indoor winter soccer , the team she plays for has their own bus , it costs $10 dollars for a road trip , the most expense he has is for hotels and meals on the many road trips they go on , that can cost a parent a pretty penny , it used to be my most expense every year traveling with a hockey team ..
