Comparing $50 an hour and a $2.4mil. avg salary goes beyond logic. I understand your point about your company. As I have stated, I am in a union, I know what it is like to not have your contract honoured and what it is like for the owner to bargain in bad faith. However, fighting to make a living, and fighting to continue to be rich (beyond most peoples dreams & beyond most of our realities) playing a child's game (yep, it still is, no matter how you want to twist it) is ridiculous.

You say NHL'rs are unique. However using the worlds pop. as an example is also illogical. Please remind me how the elderly, a baby, a handicapped person etc.. can play hockey let alone in the NHL? You also fail to mention or realize that many countries in the world don't even have people playing hockey, nor care for it. Be realistic here. They have 700 players because that is what is needed to fill up the teams in the league. If they expanded and added 10 more teams, they would have 200 more players, or if they cut teams they would have less.

You claim I am bitter about money and how much I earn, but here you are complaining about making less money. Does that not make you bitter as well?

What country lives by hockey? Let me guess, Canada? Funny, I live here, and as far as I know, hockey is now SECOND, to soccer here. I hate to tell you this, but hockey registration is going down every year here. It will not get any better any time soon.

Anyways, again, call me what you want, but I will never have sympathy for a millionaire. NEVER.

If your boss offered you %50 of the profits, would you turn it down?
Sorry dude, but Soccer is only ahead of Hockey amongst chicks and young kids. After a certain age you'll note there are way more registered Hockey kids. Not to mention the fact here they simply enroll to stay active, and the cost is far cheaper than it is for Hockey. It's not with some passion for the sport that has subsided or some desire to excel at soccer that kids get into it. All you need are some cleats and a ball. Ask people what they care most about, they wont be saying soccer. It's Hockey by far.
