Kocur was just ferocious.

You can really tell the heavy hitters apart, they throw to hurt, they are so aggressive with their punches that they seem to come from the next zip code.

Kocur, Twist, Dave Brown, Behn Wilson and others were just in a different league than most. Boogaard didn't throw punches like those guys but was more "heavy handed" and of course he was huge while Colton Orr threw from the cheap seats, both dangerous but different.

When you watch Kocur, watch how he throws, he throws with intent to hurt, it's obviously a different style.

Probert, Clark, and Jim McKenzie didn't throw like Kocur or Twist but they were faster and lethal with either hand and had plenty of KO/TKO power. Probert knocked a few guys out and had oodles of TKO's in his career but it's fine to say that Joey hit harder because he did!

Kocur earned every drop of his reputation, as did Twist, they both weren't huge guys but had the power to toss a guy like Link Gaetz around like a rag doll, no easy feat.
