He spoke quite openly about his time in the Army. He never saw action, but the stuff he got to do in training is wild! He also was in charge of Nazi POW's for a bit. He let them smoke and had respect for them. He told a story of the Nazi pow's who wouldn't speak English. He would give a rifle to a Native American member and said , "If he doesn't speak English in the next 10 minutes, he's yours". He said those guys would speak English pretty quick. Apparently German soldier were terrified of Native maericans... Very interesting stuff. He's kind of losing it now, but every once in a while I can get a story out of him.
