ONTARIO, Calif. - The
Ontario Reign, 2011-12 Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's 2012 Stanley Cup Champion
Los Angeles Kings, have released three players; Sean Menton (RW), Kellen Charpentier (D), and Mark Pawlowski (RW), from their tryout agreements today.
Menton, a 23-year-old Los Angeles native, played for the
Edinburgh Capitals (EIHL) for 53 games last season and recorded 28 points (12g, 16a). He had a brief stint in the ECHL with the
Las Vegas Wranglers for three games where he earned an assist in 2010-11.
Charpentier, 25, also a Southern California native from Temecula, was picked up during the Reign's free agent camp after a six season hiatus from hockey. In 2005-06, the defenseman played at the major junior level for the Cowichan Valley Capitals of the BCHL for 50 games earning 8 points (4g, 4a).
Pawlowski, 24, made his professional debut last season with the
Mississippi Surge of the Southern Professional Hockey League. In 27 games he earned 6 points (3g, 3a). Prior to turning pro, the Mississauga, Ontario native played for the University of Guelph for four seasons totaling 12 points (2g, 10a). Pawlowski also had a three year junior career where he earned 20 points (3g, 17a).
