if the NHL is 'turning *****' (which i almost completely agree with) then wouldn't it make even less sense to sign him to this big of a deal? i mean, i get why this site likes him and it's the same reason i like him, but if the league is getting 'more *****', wouldn't that make this contract worse, not better?

again, i get why we like it, but to me, it's a good team over paying a fan favorite by too much, just because he's a fan favorite (obviously he is on this site, but i'm not sure if a non-hockey fightin' B's fan likes this price tag. which i suppose doesn't matter, but whatever) which wouldn't bother me one bit, if it wasn't for this ****ing lock out ruining my enjoyment.
