Simon was actually critized publicly during his Avalanche days for not standing up against Probert in their playoff when Probert was running his team left and right during their series. He was in fact even BENCHED by his coach for it. Yeah eventually he did take on Probert in that series, and did pretty well getting a decision, but it was too little, too late, in most people's minds. Probert answered the bell like a man, and then he CONTINUED to terrorize Simon's teammates as if nothing ever happened. These are documented facts (Hockey news back then) and I'm sure they can be researched and confirmed if anybody feels like it. Some people may remember...I remember the commentators actually talking about it during the games as well. I like CS, but just trying to balance the scales by keeping it real here. You're welcome

You r funny - BTW: go back and read the thread on those that get a pass and the sympathies from the faithful here for being "passed their primes"... Simon was not one of them though he went on to play and is still getting paid professionally - BTW: Whether it was Browns 1st year, 5th yr, 8th yr - the results would have been the same - Where r your sympathies for a guy that practically played and fought with one arm from his Cap days on? hmmm?
