I guess you can say I am just a little biased when it comes to
Bobby Orr , way back in 63/64 I watched this skinny little kid playing for the
Oshawa Generals do things on the ice from the D position I had never seen before , he showed his greatness way back then as a 15 year old kid that had played a handful of games in the O as a 14 year old .
He never was given a penalty in his first three seasons he played junior , no one could catch him , but the year they won the Memorial Cup they started to take real bad runs at his knees and he took close to 100 minutes in penalties because he started to protect himself .
After watching him dominate in junior and that one year in the NHL convinced me he would be one of the greatest of all time , as it turned out he is the greatest to ever lace up a pair of skates ..
