Just keep watching his performance in The Town and pretend everything that happened between 1999 and 2006 didn't happen. But if Affleck is simply directing, his films "Gone Baby Gone" and 'Town' are more than solid. The Town was excellent! And from an acting standpoint, his performance in State of Play was fairly respectable as well. Think of it this way: As long as J-Lo doesn't make an appearance in Batman, Affleck should be fine....
