Ray and Larry were just as physical. Maybe Bourque didn't throw hilite checks but he was on the body constantly. Offensivley he was just as good or better and like Robinson they were better in their end. Its hard because they were all so good but if I'm picking Potvin is not top 4. It is not because of his big mouth its based on his play.
More than Bourque, I agree with that, during the Isles cup years. The Isles still stunk pretty bad when Potvin first got there and it took awhile to build that team up, whereas Lidstrom and Bourque plugged into already good teams and Robinson into a great team. Bourque was a tank on skates and very effective mixing it up. A solid #3 in my book. A lot of us made our top 10 lists awhile back. I might have had Robinson as high as #4, I'm pretty sure I had MacInnis at #5, which is higher than most would have him.
