SOUTHAVEN, Miss. --
Mississippi RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser announced today that the team has signed veteran defenseman Bill McCreary. Terms and conditions were not released.
"Bill will be a very important piece on the backend with his championship experience and veteran leadership," said Landmesser. "He's a hard-nosed, gritty player who will make us a more difficult team to play against."
The 28-year-old defenseman is entering his seventh professional season in 2012-13. The Curry College product won an SPHL President's Cup with the
Huntsville Havoc in 2010 and a championship in the Federal Hockey League with the
New Jersey Outlaws last season. The Southampton, Ont. native has registered 25 goals, 136 assists and 700 penalty minutes in 258 career games split between the "A" and "AA" levels.
