Yes this is overpayment on Suter and too long for both, but it's what Minnesota had to do. It's clear now that they were after the money and a place to play together. But! It's a worthy risk for Minnesota. That's a whole heap of talent for a devoted fanbase. Doubt it's an instant fix in the big scheme of things but I'd imagine at least 2 playoff games will be played in Minnesota next season. 13 years is a lot of time to find the right pieces to legitimize the move (not that it'll take all 13 to figure out if it's a bust or not).
