I'm fair and honest! He realized when he was coaching in 2003/04 that his methods were not working and handed the team to Renney for the last 20 games that year and went about blowing up the team. He said from now on we are gonna focus on the draft and try to build a core and not just sign free agents!
Since the lockout, he's had a solid record and drafted well and was screwed when the Rangers should of been allowed to draft Crosby after missing the playoffs from 1997-2003.
Nine of the Rangers playing now are his picks and Sauer would be 10 if he wasn't injured and he's 304-203-67 in 574 games since the lockout ended.
That's a .588% with 675 points in 574 games!
It's a solid 7 years and now we need to get some more offense and start winning in the playoffs!
The Rangers have been good every year so they never get a high draft choice but his record is solid over 7 years!
A team like the Islanders are constantly drafting high and yet their record continues to suck!
