Well, there goes a team many people, myself included, picked to win the Cup. The Penguins to players did not consistently bring their A-game in this series, and against a tough opponent like the Flyers, you can't have as many lapses as Pittsburgh did. They came unraveled and put themselves in an enormous hole early that they couldn't dig out of. Can't say I'm sad to see the Penguins eliminated, but this series brought us some pretty entertaining hockey.

To restate the obvious though, I was just shocked at how bad Fleury was for Pittsburgh. Off the top of my head, I can't remember as bad of a goaltending performance from start to finish in a playoff series, especially from a guy who most would consider among the elite tier of goaltenders in the league. Not that Bryzgalov had a good series either, but the play of Fleury had to sap the life out of the Penguins at tons of points through the series. It's hard to overcome that sort of thing when you have zero confidence in the guy between the pipes (who gave them no reason to have any).

Oh, and Claude Giroux is a beast.
