I'm just sick and tired of all the tinkering going on with my favorite sport.
Players will always get hurt in this game. It's a dangerous game by it's very nature. You have men on skates with sticks in their hands and they skate very fast and hit each other with their bodies-and sometimes their fists. they use these sticks to shoot hard rubber pucks at people.
It's unfortuante that players have been injured in races for pucks during potential icing calls. All these players know what game they are playing and what the possible risks are. These are grown men capable of deciding whether they want to take these risks-or not.
Personally I have always loved the race for the puck and the big hits that come about from them. Seeing two guys skating hard for the puck-no one else around, it's just one of those man vs. man moments in the game that I love.
