Good to see Vanes Martirosyan staying busy against a top 10 light middy as he takes on Troy Lowry. I say that with my tongue in cheek because I know Troy very well, and he's 2-8 in his last 10 fights. For a guy that has been bitching and demanding a world title fight, he definitely knows how to pick justifying fights.

Other news... cruiserweight contender Troy Ross has inked a deal with Sauerland promtions, which will take him from Canada to fighting out of Germany. For Troy, it's a great move because it opens up doors to fight the best in the CW division - which all happen to be located over the pond.

The worst kept secret, Kelly Pavlik is moving to Oxnard to train with team Robert Garcia. He's also moving back down to 160. I wish him the best, but with his latest DUI issue, I doubt he'll have much more of a career. But, hopefully the guys in Oxnard keep him on a straight and narrow.

After a tougher than initially thought fight for Daniel Ponce De Leon this weekend, which seen him hit the mat in round 2, he is now poised to getting Jhonny Gonzales in the ring for a title fight at featherweight. I respect Jhonny a lot, and love watching the guy fight, but it's about ****ing time he gets a legitimate challenger in the ring. Since he won the title against Hozumi Hasegawa in Japan, in April of last year, he's fought 3 guys with a combined record of 81-31, Rogers Mtagwa the only name opponent - and all 3 guys going down before the 5th round. Not sure why I expect the WBC to make a logical fight here, they're clearly happy with collecting sanctioning fees for his obscure fights.

No word from Antonio Demarco on his next opponent, in defending the WBC belt he won in a brutal war with Jorge Linares. In a stacked division, I'm kinda shocked this taking so damn long to find out who the next fight will be against. At least get something on the calendar for March or May after the recovery period.

On Jorge Linares, as is with Demarco, still nothing on the calendar. I can't wait to see him get back in the ring and see how he does after taking a soul crushing, brutal loss.
