When Shanahan (or whoever is dean of discipline at the time) makes a ruling they should be required to JUSTIFY why they are making that ruling. Specifically name examples that played into his ruling based on the players previous record, previous judgements, intent, injury and also examples of other judgements based on the same criteria.
I'm so sick of defending Shanahan and Campbell, so sick of of hearing about refs bias, league officials, and fans bitching about the Bruins.
If they are going to make a ruling they should be required to justify it. Absolutely no need to leave this up to the fans. Its like punching someone at a bar and then letting your friends finish the fight.

You evidently don't watch Shanaban's videos whenever a suspension or fine is handed out. He attempts to do just that. The problem is that there is no consistency, and other players get away with fouls that others are punished for...which of course is why the conspiracy theories constantly pop up about the Bruins. Take it from someone who understands your frustration over that. There are STILL fans to this day that think the Pens were handed their Cup win in 2009 just so Crosby could get a ring, which is just bullshyt.
