Brad Marchand has been fined $2,500, the maximum allowed under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for
slew-footing Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman
Matt Niskanen in NHL Game No. 388 in Pittsburgh on Monday, Dec. 5, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 3:19 of the first period. Marchand was assessed a minor penalty for tripping.
The fine money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
