Frisco, Tex. – The
Dallas Stars announced today that the club has placed forward
Adam Burish on injured reserve with a broken hand, retroactive to November 15. He is expected to be out for at least four weeks. The team also announced that it has activated
Steve Ott from injured reserve.
Burish, 28, suffered a broken hand during Tuesday's game against the
Florida Panthers. Prior to his injury, Burish had registered points in six of his last 14 games (3 goals, 4 assists). The 6-0, 191-pound forward has scored eight of his 11 goals as a Dallas Star when the club is either trailing by one goal or tied in the contest. Burish posted new career-highs in goals (8), assists (6) and points (14) last season with Dallas.
Ott, 29, was placed on injured reserve on November 10 (retroactive to October 29) and has missed the last six games due to a lower-body injury. The 6-0, 192-pound forward skated in all 82 games last season, posting 12 goals and 20 assists while leading the club with 183 penalty minutes and 252 hits.
