Kind of a good news/bad news signing with pros and cons.
I was really hoping Glencross was going to hit the open market, the way he had been talking of late, it sounded as if he was looking for a real big payday and I didn't think the Flames had a prayer in re-signing him - he could have got well over 3 mill/year had he waited until July 1, but I guess he really wanted to stay in Alberta, close to home.
But, at the same time, here's another player who the Flames hope will continue to overachieve with yet another no trade claus. Since Feaster took over its like one step forward, another one back. Its crazy.
But oh well - its a good cap hit for a servicable player, but I have no idea if Glencross can be a consistent 20 goal man or if he just hit his peak. It'll be another immovable contract on their hands if thats the case...
