Two teams that are pissed about the way their seasons have gone and it showed in that first period - lots of hits, some good fights - some emotion in a game between two teams out of the playoffs, good to see.
Man, 11 shots for the Oilers tonight...I know they've been hit hard with injuries in the second half, but man are they struggling to ice an NHL worthy lineup. I don't know if they can win another game this season. When you have Vandy has you PP QB, you know you're in trouble...
But at least they're still dressing plenty of toughness! Not going anywhere without a fight...
