Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has acquired forward
Daniel Paille from the
Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Boston’s natural third round pick in 2010 and a conditional fourth round pick in 2010.
Paille has appeared in 195 career games in the NHL - all with Buffalo - and has amassed 35-42=77 totals and 54 penalty minutes. Originally drafted by the Sabres in the first round (20th overall) of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, the 25-year-old Paille enjoyed his best season statistically in 2007-08 when he set career highs in games played, goals, assists and points after tallying 19 goals, 16 assists for 35 points in 77 games.
Last year, the 6’0, 197-pound forward registered 12-15=27 totals. He has skated in two games this year and recorded one assist for Buffalo.
