First off the Leafs havn't retired a number since 1993. They just call it honoured numbers when they put it up on the rafters. So that means any current leaf can take #93 #17. Although im sure no one will take it, considering the magnitude of the last players wearing those jerseys.
And of course no one will not live up to that number #28. Its impossible especially when you look at the career
Tie Domi had and how the NHL is today. No one will live up to those expectations. But if Orr did take that number, he would do the best he can in honoring that number.
I say Orr would be more less like Baumgartner was when he came to the leafs. Was a very effective and popular fighter in his stint with the leafs.
