Trying to say Detroit is tough is a farce. They aren't. Check the attendance, people don't like the way they play hockey. Detroit is a tough town, they want Kocur and Probert. Ok, they are long retired, get someone like them. Downey and McCarty aren't going to cut it in that city. They are likeable players, sure but they aren't enforcers, they don't scare anyone, they don't intimidate. 47 fights since the lockout? OMG That is so pathetic and what's wrong with the NHL right now.
The NHL is turning into the world championships or Olympics and I think it sucks the sweat off a cows balls! It's definitely not the sport I grew up with and with Detroit/Sweden winning the Stanley Cup, other teams WILL copy that style and that is BAD for the NHL. I guess it's great if you're a pussified Euro who hates violence but most of us like it.
