The Rugged? What are you claiming? McCarty already fought Laraque. He fought Grimson twice, Kocur twice, Probert, Domi 3 times, Oliwa,
Jody Shelley,
Chris Simon, Brashear 4 times, and dropped them with McSorley multiple times! His career fight card is littered with legit HWs-some arguably top 10 all time. Does that look a guy who is afraid?
McCarty challenged
Jordin Tootoo and Hordichuk in the Nashville series. Did you see them decline? It was because they're afraid.
As you know, Laraque challenged fighters thoughout the season, and several have declined. Do you really, truly think it was because they were all afraid, and nothing else?
McCarty knows Laraque would dominate. Why give the Penguins a for sure boost in momentum and get his a$$ kicked by Laraque? It was early in the game. McCartys decision was smart, not the right time, and what was best for the team. Maybe his headcoach told him not to fight unless it was truly warranted. Forget all the other plausible reasons. Simply fall back on the excuse he was -SCARED?
Ease up on your hatred. The Rugged needs to inject some reasoning. Falling back on being scared as the sole reason won't cut it for open minded people.
