There was no great message...no great filming. The acting was so-so at best. I don't know if Clooney was trying to make a few points against corporate America, or attorneys, or what...but it really sucked.
That it is nominated for a best picture and best actor just shows you how bad the Oscars have become.

Peter Travers, Owen Gleiberman, and Roger Ebert all gave it very good ratings, so I'm willing to bet it didn't "suck". Are you trying to start a fight? I'm pretty sure the Top Critics in the nation who decide these things know a thing or to. I haven't personally seen the movie yet, and I will be within the next week, but I'm willing to bet it wont be the worst movie I've scene in a while. What would you have as the Oscar Nominees Siskel?
