Carekner landed 3-4 shots, Boogeyman landed one but not good hit really.
Carkners all punches were good ones, one very good right-hand which stunned Boogaard.
CLEAR WIN Carkner.

I likes a lot of Boogaard but he got beated here.

Who is the marketing rep at Bulk Barn that thought it would be a good idea to make a sign out of Light Bright?

I really can't stand how anytime somebody doesn't get killed going up against one of the top 5 fighters in the league, people treat it as f they won. Kinda like the foolish "You have to clearly beat the champ to take his belt" fallacy in boxing. Both guys landed big rights at the same exact time. Both guys cut each other with that punch. One of those guys wanted nothing to do with fighting as soon as that happened. For the people saying Boogaard was hurt by it (and he definitely was startled for a second) , it was Carkner who immediately held on for dear life, and shot the takedown. Now honestly, if this fight was 2 random guys from AHL, how would you score it?

Just because Carkner was supposed to get lit up and didn't, does not mean he won the fight. Nobody should be penalized because they are the better fighter going into the fight. Mike Tyson, in his prime, was not forced to start every round behind 10-9 on the judges scorecard because he was so much better then his opponents.

And to be honest, even if Matt did win, he immediately undid whatever positives he would have gained from it, with his "Holy **** I actually hit him, I better take him down and get the hell outta here right away!!" desperation take down. Especially, when he was stupid enough to give an interview beforehand stating his game plan was to just throw a punch and take him down and ground and pound or choke him, lol. What's the point? You actually harm your rep around the league, AND to your own team, with that mentality.

Take downs mean your afraid to fight. Carkner landed one punch then took boogie down with a judo move. What a puss. Hockey isn't Judo. Take downs should count against a hockey fighter. Not looked at as a "good move". Unless one is looking to get out of the fight and into the much safer penalty box.
Boogie also lands one punch. Looked like a DRAW to me.
The way the Carkner fans are talking you would think this was a one sided bout. What ever.

I wish people would quit worshiping that douche Boogaard. Glad to see him get his bell rung. Win Carkner.

Carkner lands a bomb that hurt Boogy and then slams him to the ice with the takedown. I'm not sure how anyone really thinks Boogy won this one?

Carkner landed a bomb and then bailed out by wrestling Boogard down. Didn't like the judo flip, but win Carkner.

Carkners big punch ended this one as Boogard was dazed and concussed and was trying to survive after that one landed. Carkner did not need to throw him down on his shoulder at that point, which caused a shoulder injury as well.
Rest in Peace boogey man, you'll be missed.
