Not much here... IMHO there should be an additional penalty to a player wearing a shield against a player not wearing one. Perhaps a 2 minute man advantage? Better yet, maybe design a sheild that can be quickly removed before/during a bout?

I'm NOTa fan of taking off helmets prior to a fight. There have been too many incidents with skulls hitting the ice giving the anti-fighting crowd unneeded ammo. Better to bust/cut up knuckles than have someones career cut short, a concussion or God forbid a death.

I'm used to seeing a red jersey in a fight with his helmet and shield welded on, but it's usually the ugly red Flamers doing it. Ballard showed some class by not hammering Abdelkader when he went down. For those of you(Claire) who didn't see it that way, explains a lot....most likey cataracts.
